On or about Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, around 9:29 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a heavy-duty pickup truck left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 10 in Kerrville, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into a Ford F-350 pickup truck in icy conditions on I-10. Emergency responders rushed two people in the Ford F-350 to a nearby hospital where one of them succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 cuts east and west through Kerrville, which is about 66 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
