On or about Thursday, September 9th, 2021, around 7:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 at the exchange with Farm-to-Market 725 in Seguin, Texas.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed and another was taken to the hospital when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly drove off the side of Interstate 10 and crashed off the overpass before it landed on the roadway of FM 725 below. The passenger in the tractor-trailer was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 runs east and west through Seguin, which is about 36 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio.
