On or about Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, around 6:30 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital. Officers from the PPD said the accident was reported t the intersection of Interstate 17 and Grant Street in Phoenix, Arizona.
Local law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and a woman was injured when the SUV they were in and a tractor-trailer collided at the intersection of Grant Street and Interstate 17. Emergency responders pronounced one passenger in the SUV dead after the accident, while a woman was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Interstate 17 and Grant Street is near the center of Phoenix.
Police are still working to pin down exactly what happened in the accident.
