On or about Sunday, November 15th, 2020, around 4:00 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of one person and hurt another. ISP Troopers said the accident happened on Interstate 70 near Plainfield, Indiana.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said one person was killed and another was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly collided with a car under unknown conditions in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near State Road 267. One individual died at the scene, while another was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Google Streetview shows Interstate 70 is four lanes, with a grassy median dividing east and westbound traffic. The roadway appears heavily wooded on either side of the pavement. Planfield is nestled on the southwest outskirts of Indianapolis.
