Details:
On or about Sunday, December 26th, 2021, around 6:27 in the evening, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one person dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Troopers from the UHP said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 15 just outside Kanarraville in Iron County, Utah.
Spokespeople from the Utah Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the car they were in was allegedly struck from behind by a tractor-trailer and pushed off the side of Interstate 15. Paramedics pronounced one person in the car, identified only as a woman from California, dead of her injuries following the crash. Paramedics transported the driver of the tractor-trailer to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 15 runs north and south just west of Kanarraville, which is situated about 262 miles southwest of Salt Lake City.
