Details:
On or about Tuesday, December 15th, 2020, around 11:40 at night, an accident between a car and a box truck left one woman dead and sent a man to the hospital. Police said the accident happened at the intersection of Landstreet Road and Atlantic Avenue in Orlando, Florida.
Troopers from the FHP said a 25-year-old woman died and a 29-year-old man was hurt when the car they were in was allegedly hit by a turning box truck. After the initial collision, the car collided with a stopped tractor-trailer. A man and woman in the car were taken to a nearby hospital where the woman died a short time later.
The drivers of the box truck and tractor-trailer did not report injuries after the accident.
Police mentioned charges were pending against the driver of the box truck, but did not specify the nature of the alleged infractions.
State and local law enforcement are still investigating.
