Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 9th, 2021, around 9:23 at night, an accident between a heavy duty pickup and an 18-wheeler left one man dead and sent a truck driver to the hospital. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 4100 block of Southeast Loop 286 in Paris, Texas.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the Ford F-250 they were in allegedly crossed over the center line of the roadway and collided with an 18-wheeler in the oncoming lanes. Paramedics rushed the driver of the pickup truck to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries a short time after his arrival. The driver of the 18-wheeler was treated for unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Paris is located roughly 103 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
Texas DPS and local police are still investigating the accident.
