On or about Friday, October 29th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left one person dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Troopers from the OSHP said the accident was reported along State Route 14 in Columbiana, Ohio.
Officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when a tractor-trailer and an SUV collided under unspecified circumstances while driving along Route 14. Emergency responders rushed two people from the SUV to a nearby hospital where one of them succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival. No other injuries were mentioned by police in their initial report on the accident.
According to Google Maps, State Route 14 runs east and west through Columbiana, which is about 83 miles southeast of downtown Cleveland.
Police are still working to pin down exactly what happened in the accident.
