On or about Monday, December 6th, 2021, around 5:40 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one man dead and sent a 55-year-old man to the hospital. Representatives from the FHP said the accident was reported along State Road 31 in Charlotte County, Florida.
Florida Highway Patrol representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed and an as-of-yet unidentified 55-year-old man was injured when the car they were in was allegedly struck by a tractor-after a previous collision while attempting to avoid a hog in the roadway of SR 31. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead, while a passenger was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to Google Maps, Charlotte County is about 107 miles south of Tampa.
