On or about Tuesday, August 31st, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tow truck and a tractor-trailer left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Officials from the MSP said the accident was reported at the exchange of Interstate 94 and Wyoming Avenue in Dearborn, Michigan.

Police said one as-of-yet unidentified 55-year-old man was killed and his 67-year-old passenger was injured when the tow truck they were in allegedly failed to yield at Interstate 94 and Wyoming Avenue when it struck a tractor-trailer. Paramedics pronounced the tow truck driver dead a short time after the accident, while the passenger was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured in the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 94 runs east and west through Dearborn, which is about 8 miles west of downtown Detroit.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
