On or about Monday, November 29th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident betwen a pickup truck and a truck towing a trailer claimed the lives of two pedestrians. Officials from the NDHP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 29 near 17th Avenue South in Fargo, North Dakota.

Law enforcement spokespeople said an as-of-yet unidentified 73-year-old woman was killed and a 72-year-old man was injured when a pickup truck allegedly crashed into a truck towing a trailer, pushing the trailer into the pedestrians nearby. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene, while paramedics transported the 73-year-old man to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 29 and 17th Avenue South is on the southwest side of Fargo.

Officials are stille xamining the factors that may have contributed to the incident.
