On or about Thursday, February 18th, 2021, around 2:40 in the afternoon, an accident between a commercial pickup truck and a car left one woman dead and sent another to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened in the 9000 block of Memorial Boulevard in Port Arthur, Texas.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said one woman died and another was injured when a commercial pickup truck and a Chevrolet HHR collided under unknown conditions. One woman died of her injuries a short time after the accident, while one other person was taken from the scene with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northern side of Port Arthur, which is about 90 miles east of Houston.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating the accident.
