On or about Wednesday, October 14th, 2020, around 10:50 in the morning, an accident between a semi hauling livestock and a car claimed the life of a 71-year-old woman. The accident happened at the intersection of Hawley and Bluewater Highways in Boston Township, Michigan.

Authorities from the area have said that a 71-year-old woman was killed when the Dodge Avenger she was driving was struck by a livestock tractor-trailer at the intersection. Police said that the woman had come to a stop at the stop sign in the southbound lanes of Hawley before the collision.

Paramedics pronounced the as-of-yet unidentified woman dead at the scene.

Reviewing the intersection where the accident took place on Google Maps shows that Bluewater Highway runs east and west through Boston Township, while Howell runs north and south. Boston Township is located about 28 miles east of Grand Rapids.

Police expect to release more details about the collision in the coming days.
