Details:
On or about Monday, March 22nd, 2021, an accident between a MARTA bus and a pedestrian left one person dead. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 85 and Garden Walk Boulevard in Clayton County, Georgia.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when they were allegedly struck by a MARTA near the intersection. Officers did not indicate where the victim may have been walking when they were hit. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after they responded to the scene.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Garden Walk Boulevard and Highway 85 is in far south Atlanta.
Police are still investigating.
