On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a motorcycle and a Metro Bus left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Officials from the Metro Police Department said the accident was reported along Southern Avenue in Washington, D.C.
Law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the motorcycle they were on and a Metro bus collided under unspecified circumstances while driving on Southern Avenue. Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries a short time after his arrival. The bus driver was also taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the south side of the D.C. metro area.
Police are still looking into the accident.
