On or about Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, around 2:31 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left one woman dead and sent a man to the hospital. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 63 in Hoxie, Arkansas.
Representatives from the Arkansas State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed and a truck driver was injured when an SUV allegedly crossed over the center line of Highway 63 and struck a tractor-trailer. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the SUV dead at the scene. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 47-year-old Michael Edward, who was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Highway 63 runs through the center of Hoxie, which is about 169 miles north of little Rock.
State Police are still investigating.
