Details:
On or about Monday, January 17th, 2022, around 2:40 in the morning, a major accident between a motorcycle and a TxDOT truck left a 59-year-old man dead. Authorities from the SAPD said the accident was reported at the exchange of Southwest Loop 410 and Old Pearsall Road in San Antonio, Texas.
Officers from the San Antonio Police Department said an as-of-yet unidentified 59-year-old man was killed when the motorcycle he was on allegedly struck the back of a TxDOT truck that was stopped on the side of the road. Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
Authorities have stated they believe alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
Police hope to release more information at a later date.
