Details:
On or about Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, around 5:36 in the afternoon, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left one woman dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Representatives from the CSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 70 in Idaho Springs, Colorado.
Troopers from the Colorado State patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified 33-year-old woman was killed, while a 34-year-old man was injured when the Jeep Compass Trailhawk they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that had broken down on Interstate 70. Emergency responders pronounced the 33-year-old passenger in the Jeep dead of her injuries at the scene,
According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 cuts east and west through Idaho Springs, which is about 33 miles west of downtown Denver.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
