One person was killed and one injured after a motorcycle accident set off by a stopped vehicle with a sleeping driver in the intersection of Ley and Roundhouse in Houston, TX. Officers from the Houston Police Department say the accident took place around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Authorities report the driver of the SUV was asleep at the wheel with the vehicle in drive when they arrived. The motorcyclist had swerved to avoid the SUV, sending them and their passenger onto the roadway.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was transported to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries. Investigation into the accident is underway.
