On or about Sunday, May 29th, 2022, around 10:00 at night, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a person driving a scooter left one person dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the Interstate 35 service road in Austin, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing vehicle while they were riding a scooter along the I-35 service road. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the scooter dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Ben White Boulevard.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
