On or about Monday, June 27th, 2022, around 2:17 in the afternoon, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and four other vehicles left one woman dead and injured several other individuals. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 5 in Firebaugh, California.
Officials from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed and several other people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into four vehicles that were slowed or stopped in traffic along Interstate 5. Paramedics pronounced a passenger in the first vehicle hit dead of her injuries, while multiple people were treated for injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Nees Avenue.
Police are still looking into the crash.
