On or about Tuesday, July 20th, 2021, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and six other vehicles left one person dead and sent six people to the hospital. Deputies from the Bell County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 35 in Belton, Texas.

Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed, while six other people were rushed to the hospital after a pickup truck towing a trailer and several other vehicles collided in a chain-reaction crash on northbound I-35. Police did not specify how the accident may have started off. One person died of their injuries a short time after the accident, while several people were taken to area hospitals with unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the Bell County Expo Center, between Killeen and Temple.

Police are still investigating the accident.
