Details:

On or about Wednesday, June 6th, 2022, around 12:20 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer and a tractor-trailer left a 10-year-old boy dead, and sent four other individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 79 in Leon County, Texas.

Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said an as-of-yet unidentified 10-year-old boy was killed, while 33-year-old Solyta Watson and three other juveniles were injured when the pickup truck they were in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances along Highway 79. Emergency responders pronounced the child dead after the accident. Paramedics transported Watson and the three other juveniles to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about a mile south of Jewitt.

Police are still looking into the accident.
