On or about Wednesday, October 20th, 2021, around 3:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a box truck and two cars left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital. Deputies from the Cocopah County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Highway 95 and Avenue C in Yuma, Arizona.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and three others were hurt when a box truck and two passenger vehicles collided under unknown circumstances while driving through the intersection of Avenue C and Highway 95. Paramedics pronounced the driver of one of the cars dead, while the driver of the box truck, as well as the driver and passenger in the second car were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Yuma is about 184 miles southwest of downtown Phoenix.
State and local law enforcement agencies assisted at the scene of the accident.
