On or about Tuesday, May 16th, 2022, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead and sent three others to the hospital. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 80 in Willis Point, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and three others were injured when the vehicle they were in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances along Highway 80. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the vehicle dead a short time after the collision, while three other passengers were transported to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Farm-to-Market Road 2965.
