On or about Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a passenger vehicle, a truck towing a flatbed trailer, and a pickup truck left one person dead and sent three other people to the hospital. Officials said the accident was reported at the intersection of 202nd Avenue and Highway 37 in Huron, South Dakota.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and three others were injured when a pickup truck towing a trailer allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of 202nd Avenue and Highway 37 and truck a Pontiac Grand Prix in the intersection. After the initial collision, the Pontiac was pushed into a nearby pickup truck. A passenger in the Pontiac was pronounced dead after the accident, while the driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The drivers of both trucks were treated for unknown injuries.
