Details:
On or about Sunday, March 7th, 2021, around 2:05 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left one person dead and sent three others to the hospital. Investigators said the accident was reported on the northbound side of Interstate 380 near Seventh Street Northeast in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Law enforcement spokespeople said one person was killed and three others were injured when an 18-wheeler allegedly slammed into an SUV. One passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead, while two others in the SUV and the truck driver were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the crash.
According to Google Streetview, Interstate 380 is six lanes in the area, with a crash barrier dividing the north and southbound lanes of traffic.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
