Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, around 3:44 in the afternoon, a major accident between three tractor-trailers, a utility truck, two pickup trucks towing trailers, and two passenger vehicles left one person dead and sent three others to the hospital. Deputies from the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 84 in Mountain Home, Idaho.
Troopers from the Idaho State Police said an as-of-yet unidentified 57-year-old man was killed and three other people were injured when three tractor-trailers, a utility truck, two trucks towing trailers, and two passenger vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident on I-84. Police did not say how the accident may have started. One person was pronounced dead a short time after the collision, while three other people were treated for unspecified injuries stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 84 cuts east and west through Mountain Home.
