Details:
On or about Friday, November 20th, 2020, around 9:56 in the morning, an accident between a tow truck and a car left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Troopers said the accident happened on the ramp leading from the 15 Freeway to Main Street in Hesperia, California.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when their car allegedly struck the rear of a flatbed tow truck on the exit ramp. Paramedics pronounced one person in the car dead after the crash, while the driver of the tow truck was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Google Streetview shows the exit ramp where the accident happened is a single lane that curves to Main Street. It is not currently clear if the tow truck was in the lane of traffic, or on the shoulder. Hesperia is situated about 78 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
California Highway Patrol is assisting in the accident investigation.
