On or about Monday, November 22nd, 2021, around 6:44 in the morning, a collision between a passenger vehicle and a disabled tanker truck left one person dead. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported along the northbound side of the 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass in San Bernardino County, California.
Law enforcement spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the car they were driving allegedly collided with the back of a disabled tractor-trailer that may have been partially in the northbound lanes of the 15 Freeway. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of their injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, the Cajon Pass is about 63 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
