On or about Sunday, December 5th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left a woman dead. Authorities from the FHP said the accident was reported in the 4700 block of 1st Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when the car she was driving allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was stopped and making a delivery near the curb, or “in a curb lane.” Emergency responders pronounced the woman in the car dead a short time after they arrived at the scene of the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the west side of St. Petersburg.
Authorities are still examining the cause of the incident.
