On or about Thursday, September 2nd, 2021, around 10:15 at night, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 24-year-old Fort Worth man. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 635 at the exchange with Highway 121 in Grapevine, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified 24-year-old man was killed when his car allegedly collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer in the westbound lanes of I-635. The car was reportedly pinned beneath the back of the tractor-trailer after the crash. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead a short time after they arrived at the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 635 runs east and west through Grapevine, which is about 23 miles northwest of downtown Dallas.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
