On or about Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one woman dead. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along Avenal Cutoff Road in Kings County, California.
Law enforcement representatives from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when the vehicle she was driving was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while she was attempting a three-point turn. Paramedics pronounced the woman in the car dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the intersection with 25th Avenue.
Police are still investigating the accident.
