On or about Thursday, January 6th, 2022, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 68-year-old East Brunswick man. Investigators from the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Bordentown Avenue in Sayreville, New Jersey.

Spokespeople from the New Jersey State Police said an as-of-yet unidentified 68-year-old man from East Brunswick was killed when his car allegedly struck a tractor-trailer that was somehow blocking the lanes of traffic on Bordentown Avenue. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the car dead from his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. The as-of-yet unidentified 38-year-old tractor-trailer driver was treated for unspecified injuries at the scene of the incident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 25 miles south of downtown Newark.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
