On or about Friday, May 6th, 2022, around 11:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along Borrego Salton Sea Way in Borrego Springs, California.
Spokespeople from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the vehicle they were in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that crossed over the center line of the roadway on Borrego Salton Sea Way. Paramedics pronounced one person in in the car dead of their injuries after the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northeast side of Borrego Springs.
