On or about Thursday, June 10th, 2021, around 9:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle left one person dead. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported along Otay Mesa Boulevard in Otay Mesa, California.
Deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the motorcycle they were on and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the motorcycle dead a short time after the accident. No other injuries were mentioned by police in their preliminary report on the crash.
According to Google Maps, Otay Mesa sits on the border with Mexico, about 20 miles south of downtown San Diego.
Police are still investigating the accident.
