Details:
On or about Wednesday, March 24th, 2021, sometime before 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a cyclist and an 18-wheeler left one person dead. Troopers from the WSP said the accident happened along Corson Avenue South near the intersection with South Michigan Street in Georgetown, Washington.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while riding their bike along Corson Avenue South. Officers did not indicate if the cyclist was in the roadway, or near it. First responders pronounced the cyclist dead a short time after they arrived.
The intersection of South Michigan Street and Corson Avenue South is about 5 miles south of downtown Seattle.
Police are still investigating the accident.
