Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 15th, 2022, around 12:15 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle box truck accident left one person dead and sent another person to the hospital. Officials from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 395 just outside Crowley Lake in Mono County, South Carolina.
Investigators from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when the box truck they were in allegedly lost control and rolled in high wind conditions. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the box truck dead at the scene, while a passenger was rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Mono County is about 313 miles east of downtown San Francisco.
Officers are still investigating the accident.
