Details:
On or about Saturday, January 30th, 2021, around 8:47 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one man dead. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened in the 1300 block of East Abram Street in Arlington, Texas.
Police spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified man was killed when he allegedly stumbled or fell into the roadway and was struck by a passing tractor-trailer. The driver of the tractor-trailer allegedly checked on the victim before he left the scene. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries after the accident.
According to Google Streetview, East Abrams Street is four lanes, with a shared turn lane dividing east and westbound traffic. Arlington is located about 15 miles east of downtown Fort Worth.
Police are still investigating the sequence of events that led to the accident.
