On or about Wednesday, May 12th, 2021, an accident between a car and an 18-wheeler left one individual dead. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of the East Freeway (Interstate 10) in Houston, Texas.
Officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified person died when a car and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown circumstances. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead of their injuries a short time after the accident, but did not specify the vehicle they were in at the time of the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident was a short distance from the Freeport exit, just east of downtown Houston.
