On or about Tuesday, August 17th, 2021, around 5:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl. Deputies from the Collin County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred at the intersection of North Allen Heights Drive and East Exchange Parkway in Allen, Texas.
Authorities said an as-of-yet unidentified 16-year-old girl was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the Nissan Altima she was riding in as she the Altima was attempting a left turn at the intersection of East Exchange Parkway and North Allen Heights Drive. Paramedics pronounced the 16-year-old girl dead of her injuries after the accident but the police did not specify if she died at the scene or after being taken to the hospital. The driver of the tractor-trailer and the driver of the Altima were unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of East Exchange Parkway and North Allen Heights Drive is situated on the northeast side of Allen, which is about 26 miles north of downtown Dallas.
