On or about Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021, around 9:38 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian claimed the life of a woman. Local law enforcement said the accident happened behind the Five Guys restaurant on Poway Road in Poway, California.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when she was allegedly struck and dragged by a tractor-trailer on a delivery access road behind Poway Plaza. First responders pronounced the woman dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 22 miles north of downtown San Diego.
Deputies from the Poway County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the incident, which is still under investigation.
