On or about Friday, December 3rd, 2021, around 2:45 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one woman dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of FM 509 and Nixon Road in Harlingen, Texas.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when the car she was driving allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer at the intersection of FM 509 and Nixon Road. Emergency responders pronounced the woman in the car dead of her injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the collision. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, Harlingen is about 135 miles south of Corpus Christi.
