On or about Monday, June 28th, 2021, around 5:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 74-year-old woman dead. Investigators from the GSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Vineville Avenue and Forest Avenue in Macon, Georgia.
Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified 74-year-old woman was killed when she was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that was turning at the intersection of Forest Avenue and Vineville Avenue. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead of her injuries a short time after the accident. No other injuries were reported by authorities.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Vineville Avenue and Forest Avenue is a short distance west of downtown Macon.
Police expect to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
