On or about Saturday, January 1st, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer hauling chemicals left one individual dead. Local law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported along State Highway 105 in Cleveland, Texas.
Deputies from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly veered over the center line of State Highway 105 when it struck a tractor-trailer hauling chemicals and another vehicle in the oncoming lanes. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the car dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps the town of Cleveland is situated about 46 miles northeast of Houston.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
