On or about Monday, June 6th, 2022, around 12:45 in the afternoon, a hit-and-run accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle left one individual dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along State Highway 176 in Martin County, Texas.
Representatives from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while riding their motorcycle along Highway 176. After the initial accident, the tractor-trailer fled the scene. Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead of their injuries after they arrived at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 8 miles west of Tarzan, where the tractor-trailer was later located.
Officials are still investigating.
