Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, around 1:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Officials from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 180 just outside Belmont in Fresno County, California.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Highway 180. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 22 miles south of downtown San Francisco.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
