Details:
On or about Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, around 1:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Investigators from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 180 at or near the intersection with Belmont Avenue in Fresno County, California.
Police officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on Highway 180. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near the center of Fresno.
Officials are still investigating.
