Details:
On or about Monday, February 7th, 2022, around 5:00 in the morning, a major single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident left one person dead. Troopers from the UHP said the accident was reported along Highway 191 just outside Vernal in Uintah County, Utah.
Spokespeople from the Utah Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and rolled on Highway 191. Emergency responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Vernal, which is about 172 miles east of Salt Lake City.
Utah Highway Patrol assisted local authorities at the scene.
