On or about Thursday, July 16th, 2021, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of an 81-year-old woman. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 2 and Sager Lane in Kalispell, Montana.
Deputies from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office said an as-of-yet unidentified 81-year-old woman was killed when her car was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that was making a left turn across traffic at the intersection of Sager Lane and Highway 2. Paramedics rushed the woman to Logan Health where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Highway 2 and Sager Lane is a short distance northeast of Kalispell, which is about 193 miles northwest of Helena.
Police are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
